The programme aims to train junior experts with advanced skills both in the quantitative analysis of complex phenomena and in data management in economic and demographic-healthcare contexts, providing a sound basis for decision-making. It offers three distinct curricula and the teaching is designed to integrate theory and practice through the use of interactive workshops.
The Bio-Demographic curriculum focuses on the use of statistics to study the natural and social characteristics of populations; the Economics and Business curriculum focuses on market research and positioning; the international Statistics & Mathematics curriculum delves into the mathematical and probabilistic foundations of the statistical methodology.
The programme offers students the chance to enrich their academic experience through internships abroad and participation in exchange programmes, such as the Erasmus and Overseas schemes. In addition, those who choose the international curriculum are offered the opportunity to do their third year at the University of Glasgow and obtain a double degree.
You can attend a year of studies in Glasgow and obtain a first-cycle degree in Statistical Sciences and a Bachelor with Honours in Statistics.
The programme includes specific activities aimed at analysing concrete case studies.
You will be able to acquire skills in managing big data.
You will have computer labs at your disposal where you can put into practice the skills acquired during the theory lessons.
You will acquire increasingly important skills for the world of work.
My study experience was a personal turning point that taught me to observe reality analytically, allowing me to improve my knowledge. I found being able to put my knowledge into practice in the Course's different practical activities very useful.
