Incoming Erasmus+ Students

Welcome @ UniBO: please read!

The Erasmus+ Programme is a European Union student exchange programme offering to students regularly enrolled at their home university the possibility to spend a study period (of variable length: from 3 to 12 months) in a partner university, in order to attend courses and give exams or to prepare the final project work.

The Department of Civil, Chemical, Environmental, and Materials Engineering (DICAM) of the University of Bologna has established agreements, in the area of chemical and process engineering, with many foreign departments in order to allow students of their university to visit our University in the framework of the Erasmus+ programme.

If you are a chemical engineering student interested in coming to Bologna for a study period under the Erasmus+ Programme you should:

− check if your home University has some active exchange programme, possibly in the area of chemical engineering, with University of Bologna

− if this is the case, apply for a scholarship following the instruction of your home University.

If you are a student coming to Bologna under the Erasmus+ Programme to attend chemical engineering courses, please be aware that:

- the courses of the bachelor degree in chemical and biochemical engineering (laurea in ingegneria chimica e biochimica) and of the main curriculum of the master degree in chemical and process engineering (laurea magistrale in ingegneria chimica e di processo) are offered in Italian: to be admitted to the lessons and to pass the exams, a good knowledge of the Italian language is necessary (B2 level is recommended);

- the courses of the STEM Curriculum - Sustainable Technologies and biotechnologies for Energy and Materials of the Master Degree in Chemical and Process Engineering are offered in English: to be admitted to the lessons and the exams, a good knowledge of the English language is necessary (B2 level is recommended);

- the courses of the master degree are advanced courses; generally students of the bachelor degree don’t have the basic knowledge required to be admitted to the courses offered within the master degree. Please contact the teacher to verify if you have the prerequisites to be admitted to the course.
