Corso gratuito su TANGO Controls presso la Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste, dal 4 all’8 luglio 2016.

Pubblicato il 15 aprile 2016

Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste is an international multidisciplinary research center specialized in synchrotron and free  electron laser radiation. Please visit our web site for more information (www.elettra.eu <http://www.elettra.eu/>). We are organizing at our site in Trieste, Italy, a school on/TANGO Controls/, a free and open source software framework for distributed control systems. TANGO is used in many European large experimental physics facilities and is developed collaboratively by an international community of research institutions. The school will give 15 students a general overview of the TANGO framework and the fundamentals to be able to develop software applications in the TANGO environment. The school will be held at our laboratory in Trieste, Italy, on 4-8  July, 2016. Attendance and accommodation costs will be covered by Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste. At the end of the school, the most deserving students will have the opportunity to attend an additional training period and may be called upon to contribute to the participation of  Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste in the construction of new research Facilities in Europe. TANGO Controls is an open‑source toolkit for building high performance and high quality distributed control systems for small and large installations. The TANGO design is based on the concept of distributed devices or objects, and provides native support for multiple programming languages. The toolkit implements a full set of tools for developing, managing and monitoring small and large control systems. TANGO is presently managed by a group of European research centers among which there are ESRF (France), SOLEIL (France), Elettra (Italy), ALBA (Spain), DESY (Germany), MAX-lab (Sweden), Solaris (Poland) and INAF (Italy), but the whole TANGO community today counts over 20 sites./Seewww.tango-controls.org http://www.tango-controls.org/>for more information.
