The next academic year, the University of Bologna is launching a brand-new MA program taught entirely in English and entitled "Applied Critical Archaeology and Heritage" - ACRA. The program combines a critical and theory-informed approach to archaeology, with the exploration of fields as diverse as landscape archaeology, bio-archaeology, networks and mobility, cultural heritage studies, digital archaeology and more.
The outlook is global but both teaching and research in Bologna have traditionally a very strong focus on the Prehistoric/Ancient Mediterranean (broadly intended) and Western Asia.
