The opportunities offered by an international degree programme

Partner Universities

UNIVERSITE' DE LIEGE, UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI

PLEASE NOTE: Although all DD programmes are activated, the number of participating students may vary every year. 

The Dual Degree is offered as an option for students enrolled in the Masters Programme of Earth Resources Engineering. Three joint education Master Programmes are available for ERE students:

- University of Miami

- Université de Liège

- University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland.

Participation in the Dual Degree programme implies attending courses at the University of Bologna during the first year and at the partner University during the second year. The credits achieved at the host University will be recognized on the basis of specific Correspondance Tables. At the end of the programme, students will acquire the Master degree from both the Universities attended (the University of Bologna and the host university). The title will be thus valid in both countries.

Students will pay fees to the University of Bologna both for the first and for the second year.

The participation is reserved to students enrolled at the first year.

Dual Degree with Université de Liège

Mobility structure

- 2 semesters at the University of Bologna (first year)

- 2 semesters at the Université de Liege (second year)

The students succesfully completing the study programme will receive the following degrees:

** The Laurea Magistrale in Environmental Engineering (LM, 2 year, 120 ECTS) granted by UNIBO

** Master Ingénieur Civil des Mines et Géologue (2 years, 120 ects), granted by the Université de Liege

Application procedure

Students interested in the Dual Degree with Liège will be selected exclusively through the Erasmus+ for studies call for application, published here.

Students will have to comply with all the rules, requirements and deadlines of the Erasmus+ call for application. Please read carefully the call for further details.

Available positions: max 5 students

Please note that students who will be selected for the Dual Degree, in order to be registered in the second year of the Master programme in Liege, will have to complete all the learning activities of the first year before leaving for the mobility.

Dual Degree with the University of Miami

The selection of students to be included in the Dual Degree programme with UM is based on merit and is made according to a call issued every year. Please keep this page monitored for updates.

In order to be enrolled in the partner University, students must have certified TOEFL/IELTS scores

Mobility structure

- 2 semesters at the University of Bologna (first year)

- 2 semesters at the University of Miami (second year)

The students succesfully completing the study programme will receive the following degrees:

** The Laurea Magistrale in Environmental Engineering (LM, 2 year, 120 ECTS) granted by UNIBO

** The Master of Science Degree (MA, 1 year, 30 US credits), granted by the University of MIAMI

Application procedure

The application must be submitted onine through SOL, according to the procedure specified in the call. Check the Call for the a.y. 22/23 (now expired) for further details.

PLEASE NOTE: in order to be accepted by the University of Miami, students shall possess an IELTS/TOEFL certificate.

Admission at the University of Miami

After the ranking list is published, the selected student will have to apply at the University of Miami according to their procedures and deadlines. The possibility of performing the mobility is subject to the acceptance by UM.

Dual Degree with the FHNW University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland

Mobility structure

The mobility is carried out in the second year. Students may choose to spend at FHNW a mobility period of 1 or 2 semesters (preferably). If they opt for the one-year mobility scheme, students will prepare and discuss their final thesis at the host university. The final examination is worth 40 ECTS at FHNW.

The students succesfully completing the study programme will receive the following degrees:

** The Laurea Magistrale in Environmental Engineering (LM, 2 year, 120 ECTS) granted by UNIBO

** Master of science in Life Science (1.5 years, 90 ects), granted by the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland
