Seminars on Emerging Technologies in Political Science and Security Studies

The seminar will closely investigate Emerging Disruptive Technologies (EDTs) - cybersecurity (security in cyberspace) and artificial intelligence.

It is designed to familiarize students with the basics of these two areas, their practical applications in science and the real world, and the ethics of it all. The seminar will also look at some of the long-standing and novel issues of governance and political philosophy and the possible mitigation strategies and tactics for AI and security in cyberspace.

It will further explore the scientific contexts and other related modern areas of cognitive security (warfare), social cybersecurity, and information security to paint a more holistic picture of the interconnected environment functioning within cyberspace. Finally, the seminar explores how to perform research in these fields.

The seminar is part of the Workshop on Eastern Europe and Eurasia. They are in presence for all 1st yr Mirees students. Only other participants (2hd yr and others) can attend at distance
