The Višegrad Chair has been established at the Dep. of Political and Social Sciences (DSPS) and the School of Political Sciences in Forlì in 2014, via a previous VUSG grant (n. 61300036) and restored thanks to a new grant n 22010043.
It has become since part of the MIREES program, which focuses on international relations, being specifically centered on East-Central Europe and entirely taught in English. The Višegrad Chair has been designed exactly in order to offer to students an extraordinary opportunity to investigate about one of the most prominent example of positive cooperation among States for common purposes.
V4 contributed to crucial dynamics that mark the processes of post-Socialist transition, the broader European integration and – in a long term dynamic – the developments of the European history. So far, the Višegrad Chair in Forlì represents a unique offer in Italy to get an in-depth understanding of V4 and a more veritable command of the European reality as a whole.
The project is co-financed by the Governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
