Laboratories

Information on teaching proposal of Laboratories and Fieldwork

Enrollment 

For students who need to earn CFU for educational activities Fieldwork and Laboratories (1) and Fieldwork and Laboratories (2)

To enroll in one of the laboratories, you need to fill out the dedicated online Form (expired). Fill out one form for each request: you will be selected for one laboratory for each Fieldwork and Laboratories activity included in your study plan. Enrollment will be open from November 10th until November 21st 2025. Lists will be publish on the Master’s Programme web site after November 24th.

For students who do not need to earn CFU
In this case, to enroll you must contact directly the professor in charge of the chosen laboratory. Enrollment will be open from November 24th to December 5th 2025. The enrollment will be communicate directly by the professor.

Teaching proposal for the  a.y. 2025-26 (reserved for students of the ACRA Programme)

You can earn 2 CFU by choosing one laboratory within the three tracks — Materials, Contexts, and Communication — or alternatively the Laboratory of Experimental Archaeology.

  • Place: Laboratory rooms in Piazza San Giovanni in Monte 2 (if not stated otherwise)
  • Period: Activities take place along the II semester of the academic year
  • CFU: Each laboratory requires 20 hours of guided practical activity plus individual practice and provides 2 CFU (see the schedule of each laboratory).
  • Certificate: At the end of each activity students receive a certificate with original signature of the laboratory supervisor. All certificates must be presented for the validation of CFU as part of Fieldwork and Laboratories, to Prof. Maurizio Cattani (maurizio.cattani@unibo.it).

Students of English curriculum ACRA can apply also to laboratories of the Italian curriculum (carried out mainly in Italian). It is recommended a good level of Italian speaking.
