The History and Oriental Studies Master Degree Course offers students the opportunity to obtain, at the end of a set period course, a university degree awarded both by the University of Bologna and by one or more foreign universities.

 

1) Medieval History and Archaeology - HISTARMED

The "HISTARMED - Medieval History and Archaeology" course offers a highly qualified training at Master's level, based on the principle of double mobility (two semesters out of four) in one or two of the partner universities.

2) German-Italian Integrated Course in History and Oriental Studies Bologna-Bielefeld - BiBoG

The 'Bielefeld School' is not only a hallmark of modern, theoretically oriented historical research, but also a place of lively academic debate between lecturers, researchers, students and academics from other countries. The Master of Arts in History aims to train historians with a view to employment in areas such as the media, public relations, foundations, education and corporate knowledge management.

3) Integrated Italian-French Course in Comparative History and Civilisations

 The Integrated Course in 'Comparative History and Civilisations' aims to train young European researchers through a concrete study and research experience in two countries: the country of origin (which is also the country where the main university enrolment takes place) and the associated country (France or Italy).

4) Master in African Studies at Dalarna University

The framework agreement between the University of Bologna and the University of Dalarna (Sweden) offers students enrolled in the Master's degree courses in History and Oriental Studies and Cultural Anthropology and Ethnology the opportunity to devote the second year of their course to the study of the African continent. At the end of the course, the acquisition of 60 credits allows the student to obtain a 'double title': in addition to the Master's degree, a first-level Master's degree in African Studies.
