To graduate, you have to sit a final examination designed to verify that you have reached the education objectives set by the Degree Programme.

The final examination consists in writing a dissertation on a subject pertinent to your studies, elaborated in an original way, under the guidance of a supervisor. The dissertation will be discussed publicly during a specific final examination session in front of a Board.
The Board will assess your performance using your curriculum as a reference. During the dissertation discussion, you may use slides and the Commission may ask you in-depth questions on methods, results and any developments of your work
To submit your application online, you must access Studenti Online before the deadlines set for the application submission and the requirements.
In order to graduate, you must have:
The Student Administration Office will verify all requirements and will contact you if there are any issues, to allow you to regularise your position before the final examination.
The graduation application is valid for just one graduation session. If you graduate in a later session, you will have to re-submit your graduation application and pay only the duty stamp.
Students are expected to follow the formal requirements for thesis editing according to the Guidelines for thesis editing. See the attachment Thesis proposal.
Students are required to sign and bind the Statement of Originality in the thesis book to be delivered. See the attachment Statement of Originality.
The administrative tasks to accomplish and the corresponding deadlines are reported in the graduation instructions ("administrative procedures and deadlines").

The Graduation Committee as well as the date and time of discussion of each graduating student will be made available one week before the final examination date on www.studenti.unibo.it

Important: students who graduate within March, do not have to pay the tuition fees for the new academic year.
In case you have chosen additional exams in the “Group of choice of elective courses – type D” and you do not want to take them any longer, please inform the Student Administration Office at segforli@unibo.it as soon as possible.
Degree Certificate with Transcript of Records: from the on-line service Studenti Online (select: certificates and self-certifications) it is possible to download on-line certificates in Italian and English language (digitally signed by the University of Bologna) and self-certifications (available only in Italian language).
The Rector congratulates on this important milestone and trusts that the session will be conducted orderly, and invites the candidates and their guests to respect the rules of civil coexistence before, during and after the sessions.
In particular, reminds that it is forbidden to introduce glass bottles, confetti or other material likely to offend or disturb the sessions, and that, at the end of the sessions, it is forbidden to linger outside the structure and create gatherings.
