The programme, delivered entirely in English, is designed to train conservation scientists with sound technical and scientific knowledge of conservation, enabling them to contribute to the study, diagnostics and conservation of cultural heritage as part of an interdisciplinary team.
The programme, characterised by an interdisciplinary approach, includes courses in chemistry, physics, biology and mineralogy, as well as cultural heritage conservation. The range of subjects covered is necessary to acquire an in-depth knowledge of the different cultural heritage materials, an essential prerequisite for planning and for undertaking conservation and restoration work.
The programme offers the opportunity to participate in exchange programmes and to carry out thesis internships abroad at research institutes, museums and conservation and restoration centres, with a number of scholarships to be awarded based on merit. Such experiences are enriching, both for your training and for your professional future.
You will learn to use the most modern analytical techniques currently used for the study of cultural heritage.
