This is a happy picture of an amazing day spent with the CEO of IMA s.p.a and his staff in Ozzano dell'Emilia. The company is a world leader in the design and manufacture of automatic machines for the processing and packaging of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food, tea and coffee.
Our Problem Solving class had the chance to understand the history of the company, from the very beginning to the creation of a big multinational exporting and producing all over the world, thanks to the explanation of the Chief Executive, Andrea Malagoli. Furthermore, he illustrated the strategical process of "acquisition" and the importance of the R&D department, in order to develop reliable and continuously innovated machines.
We could visit some of the technical and operating departments of the firm, learning how the machines work and appreciating the passion and the involvement of all the staff working at the moment. And, at the end, there wouldn’t be any better way to conclude our visit than enjoying a great lunch all together, sharing experiences with the manager and his assistants.
Thanks to IMA's CEO and to professor Lelli for organizing such an educational moment.
