It is a tradition of International Management to invite first-year students to a welcome event in the University spaces.
This year the kick-off took place on September 24th in Scaravilli and it was an opportunity for new students to meet the Program Director, Prof. Pizzi, and other guests.
Prof. Pizzi gave a welcoming speech and introduced the master's degree program. He described the upcoming challenges and opportunities students will have during their career at International Management.
The Program Coordinator, Dr. Angelo Neri, talked about the most important administrative procedures to get acquainted with and the other offices who deal with them: Erasmus, Internships, etc.
Prof. Alessandro Pastore joined the event remotely via Teams and presented his teaching activity SUSTAINABILITY JOURNEYS - an intersting curricular opportunity students can apply for in their first (or second) year.
Among the speakers of the day, Marco Sponticcia, alumnus of the International Management programme, shared his personal journey with the students. Starting from his university experience and Erasmus, he explained how different experiences, including those that were not initially planned, progressively shaped his professional and entrepreneurial choices. He also introduced Abako, an Italian startup aiming to help entrepreneurs and professionals interact directly with their company data, and he talked about how a professional path does not necessarily have to be defined from the beginning, but can evolve through experiences, changes and new opportunities.
At the end of the kick-off, students were offered a light-lunch buffet for a fresh start at IM!
