Medicine and Surgery students develop a comprehensive vision of Medicine’s potential by incorporating health promotion, disease prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation into their practice; they learn to do so in an international context as well.
The use of English as the official language facilitates access to medical literature, international meetings and collaborations. Graduates are able to communicate better with foreign patients, and to interact with colleagues from different countries for clinical and research purposes. The English language programme may also attract international students, creating a multicultural student community. Student and staff mobility to/from foreign Universities is also encouraged as a way to familiarise themselves with international settings.
The programme is delivered through a range of both innovative and traditional teaching methods, with a ‘problem solving’ approach
